to certainty.

Hijazi Welfare Foundation runs a school, a free tuition academy, a computer lab for women, a free ambulance, help with oxygen and medicine, and monthly food support for families. The work is rooted in Buner, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan.

The school

Hijazi Schools System in Jowar, Buner. Its sign says it plainly: Eradication of poverty through education. Around 200 children learn here, from Nursery to Primary. The foundation pays for teachers, books, uniforms and the building, and helps families so their children can keep studying.

It started with oxygen.

In 2014 the founder’s mother needed oxygen at a local hospital, and there was none. That is how the foundation began: free oxygen for patients, then a free ambulance, then help with medicine for people who cannot afford long treatment. All three continue today.

Monthly essentials

Every month the foundation gives families the basics they cook with. In a typical month, around 50 to 100 households in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa receive a package. Some ask for help; others are found through people who know them.
